Hi there, thanks for visiting Paris Eater – I’m Richard and I started this website early 2023 to provide English speaking Paris guides and creative recipes for home-cooks.

I moved to Paris in 2016 and I’ve lived here ever since. Aerospace Engineer by education, I’ve worked in Digital Marketing here helping companies expand into English speaking Markets. I’m a passionate hobby-cook and I love eating out in Paris! Since I moved here I’ve become obsessed with the Parisian food scene and I love advising friends and family on where are the best spots to eat and drink.

Whether visiting Paris for the first time or not, I’ve got up to date guides with the best and newest restaurants, bars and general guides for you.

My Paris Restaurant Guides & Recommendations

Living in Paris for over 8 years, I’ve gotten to know the majority of the arrondissements rather well. Knowing far too well the frustration of tourists who arrive in Paris with expectations regarding food and wine and then being let down by over priced tourist traps, I put together my guides to help give you an idea of the best spots to eat, drink and explore.

These are guides are just my recommendations and I only feature spots that I personally think are worth it. Note that chefs change, staff have bad days and certain dishes may be seasonal – my recommendations are what I experienced when I ate there. Feel free to comment on an article if you have feedback!

My Recipes

I’m a self taught hobby-cook and I’ve been passionate about creative home cooking since I was 18 (oh and before this I was only interested in pizzas and burgers!). I’ve been lucky enough to eat at some incredible restaurants across France and which has given me exposure to incredible flavour pairings, techniques and produce.
